Video: Creating En Sabah Nur’s armor for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.

Here’s a behind the scenes look at the process that went into creating Oscar Isaac’s En Sabah Nur costume for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE via Insider and the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD, which releases on October 4th. Costume designer Louise Mingenbach and crew used a detailed 3D-printing process to create 13 moving pieces of the ancient Egyptian style armor.

“We wanted him to feel larger than other people in the movie physically,” says screenwriter/ producer Simon Kinberg. “We wanted him to have that sort of ancient, mythic God-like look to him.”

The costume was a challenge for Isaac, who had to keep cool in-costume via cold water piped through tubes.
