Director Josh Boone announced today via instagram that filming on THE NEW MUTANTS has wrapped! He posted a few photos, the first showing the main cast’s chairs. Other photos include him with “Dani Moonstar” actress Blu Hunt and writer Knate Lee.
The film also stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Charlie Heston as Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Sunspot, Alice Braga as Dr. Cecilia Reyes, Happy Anderson as Reverend Sinclair and Dustin Ceithamer in an unspecified role.
It will center around five new mutants being held in a secret facility against their will. There, they’ll have to battle the dangers of their powers, as well as the sins of their past. They aren’t out to save the world — they’re just trying to save themselves.
“The New Mutants” will arrive in theaters on April 13, 2018.
