Actor Ryan Reynolds revealed new promotional artwork for next year’s THE UNTITLED DEADPOOL SEQUEL via social media, with the caption: “Some might call this creation a masterpiece, but to me it’s just well hung art to be shared with the world.” It features Reynolds’ Wade Wilson being blessed by Josh Brolin’s Cable, paying homage to The Creation of Adam fresco painting by Michelangelo, which forms part of the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling or something like that.
He also commented on the recent Disney/20th Century Fox buyout by posting a hilarious photo created by Mutant 101 of Deadpool being removed from Disneyland grounds after “blowing the Matterhorn.”
Directed by David Leitch (Atomic Blond), the film follows a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson), who, after surviving a near fatal bovine attack, struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
The Untitled Deadpool Sequel arrives in theaters on June 1, 2018.
