According to The Hollywood Reporter, longtime X-MEN director, producer and collaborator Bryan Singer will helm the pilot episode of showrunner Matt Nix’s untitled mutant-based TV series for Fox.
Singer is also executive producing the potential series, along with fellow film producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg. Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory will co-produce, with production being financed through Marvel and 20th Century Fox television.
The action-adventure drama will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their two teenagers are mutants. On the run from a hostile government, the family find help from an underground network of mutants.
Singer is no stranger to TV, having worked on House, Battle Creek, Mockingbird Lane and the upcoming Munsters reboot.
