Celebrating The Continuing Legacy Of X-Men Films • Covering Our Most-Anticipated Genre Film And TV Projects

Joe Quesada shares X-MEN comic page which appears in final LOGAN trailer.

Marvel editor, writer and artist Joe Quesada and Dan Panosian were tapped to create pages for fictional X-MEN comics which exist in the world of LOGAN.

In this alternate timeline, the X-Men are known among the public, becoming legends of sorts, hence the comics. Quesada provided fans (via Tumblr) a full shot of the page which featured in the film’s second and final trailer.

“Since this page is already public, as seen in the mind blowing Logan trailer, I’m guessing it’s okay to post these process pieces,” he said. “It was a blast working closely with James Mangold on creating these pages (yes, there’s more than one) and thrilled to have been invited on the project. Attached are my final digital pencils that Dan Panosian had to recreate in a more 90s ink and coloring style and boy did he nail the look!”

It’s interesting to note that Jean Grey is missing on this page, alluding to her not catching a break in either timeline. Death and rebirth is the legacy of the Phoenix though, right?

It’ll be interesting to see if we get any more looks at this alternate timeline X-Men team. According to Logan himself, the comics aren’t exact representations of the team and their adventures.

“Logan” comes to theaters on March 3!
