NEW MUTANTS director Josh Boone took to instagram to announce Peter Deming (Twin Peaks, Drag Me to Hell, Evil Dead II) as director of photography for the X-Men spin-off.
Deming will provide unique horror-tinged visuals, which is a perfect match for the film’s scary antagonist, Demon Bear.
Omega Underground reports that a potential casting call for the villain found its way online from Central Casting (via Project Casting). They are “looking for men who are 6’9″ to 7’4″ who are very thin and athletic. You must be able to chase kids down a hall. Must be okay with prosthetics and make up. Talents will work as a paid principal actor. Filming will be in Boston, Massachusetts from July 13th through July 21st.”
Actors involved include Anya Taylor-Joy as dimension-hopper Magik and Maisie Williams as the transforming Wolfsbane, among others.
Production begins next month in Boston and runs through the Summer for a April “Friday the 13th” 2018 theatrical release.
Thanks to @XMenSaga and Omega Underground for the heads up!
