20th Century Fox has been very quiet about their upcoming X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX film, which begins production in a matter of weeks in Montreal.
Though we have a confirmed release date of November 2, 2018, the studio has been unusually quiet in announcing the film’s cast and crew; for instance, they haven’t officially announced the director yet.
Most folks are pretty sure writer Simon Kinberg will make his directorial debut with “Dark Phoenix,” after rumors came out about him being in the running for the gig. When asked, Kinberg didn’t deny the info, saying that it wasn’t a done deal, so the assumption was that it’s likely true.
Anyhow, we know the production is actually happening soon, as set designer Brent Lambert recently posted on Facebook that he has completed his work on the film’s sets.
