Celebrating The Continuing Legacy Of X-Men Films • Covering Our Most-Anticipated Genre Film And TV Projects

Update: Psylocke actress Olivia Munn is in Montreal. Is she there for X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX?

Olivia Munn had a small, but effective role as Psylocke in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. She didn’t say much, but left quite an impression with her comic accurate look and thrilling action sequences. While we don’t know if she’ll return for Simon Kinberg’s upcoming X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX, there’s evidence proving there’s at least a possibility of it happening.

The actress was recently spotted arriving to Montreal, the shooting location for ‘Dark Phoenix.’ She also mentioned it on her social media, without providing further details. A large chunk of the cast are already filming, but the likes of Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Evan Peters have yet to arrive in the city. Could Munn be primarily filming scenes with this group of actors? If so, why are their schedules seemingly separate from the X-Men characters? This has lead to speculation that Mystique, Quicksilver (and maybe Psylocke?) have joined Magneto as the new Brotherhood of mutants.

Again, that’s simply speculation.

But she’s instagramming photos of her with trainer Karine Lemieux, doing karate kicks and what not. Psylocke…you back, ain’t you?!

We’ll find out soon enough as the film continues production through October for a November 2, 2018 theatrical release.

Update: According to Deadline, Munn has been cast in a “key role” in the Navy SEAL drama series ‘Six’ which begins filming this month in Vancouver. So she might not be in “Dark Phoenix” after all. We’ll have to wait and see. Whatever happens, hopefully we’ll get to see her return to the role in the near future.

Hook kickin' it with the birthday girl @karine_lmx 🎂💪🎏
