Olivia Munn is being “vague” about Psylocke’s return for X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX and future films.

Olivia Munn is being vague about her return to the role of Psylocke for future films, potentially X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX. The actress spoke with MTV while promoting her upcoming projects and was asked point blank about her rumor involvement in director Simon Kinberg’s next chapter in the ever-growing mutant franchise.

“I was asked about what I can say, and I can’t remember. I’m supposed to say things,” she said about her reprisal. “I’ll just repeat to you what was said to me in the text. It was: ‘be vague.'”

So is she in? “That is a great assumption,” she continued, “but I’m being vague.”

Even though Munn hasn’t been spotted filming anything in Montreal, neither have Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) or Evan Peters (Quicksilver). It’s possible she could be filming scenes later in production with those characters, perhaps a new Brotherhood of mutants?

There’s also a large group of fans who believe she’d be a perfect team member for the upcoming X-FORCE spin-off, which takes place in Deadpool’s timeline.

She also revealed that her fight sequence with Nicholas Hoult’s Beast in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE was drastically cut.

“The fans only got to see a quarter of it,” she said. “[Simon Kinberg] said last year that I can go in to Fox whenever I get time and actually edit it for myself, which I will do! Because we worked on it so hard, me and Nick Hoult’s character. So I’m excited to do that.

“I love the character so much. I’d love to see more of her. I’d love to be able to delve into that more.”
