Nicholas Hoult: X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX is rooted in something “very real and honest.”

On with Mario Lopez recently interviewed Nicholas Hoult, who plays Beast in Simon Kinberg’s upcoming X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX saga. The actor revealed that the film is going to be “emotional” and “dramatic.”

“He is really trying to bring it back to a lot of the emotional and dramatic elements in the story, along with all the action and fun, but really rooting it in something very real and honest. The performances I’ve seen and what he’s written; it’s looking great.”

This is similar to what Kinberg previously said about making the film emotional and more grounded than the comic book version.

“Dark Phoenix” comes to theaters on November 2, 2018.
