“Chicago Med” actor Ato Essandoh has been added to the cast of director/writer Simon Kinberg’s X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX saga. He’s listed on the IMDB as playing the character Jones. Whether or not that’s a pseudonym for a different character remains to be seen.
Essandoh recently instagrammed a set photo that’s similar to the ones posted by Kinberg and actress Jessica Chaistain. His specific photo shows a bit more of the outdoor production equipment.
Since he was in the same area as Chastain while she filmed her first scene, it’s speculated his role could be connected to hers. Perhaps as another villain for the X-Men to face? We’ll have to wait and see!
“Dark Phoenix” flies into theaters on November 2, 2018.
