Actress Jessica Chastain recently revealed to CinemaBlend two reasons why she decided to join the cast of X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX.
“What I will say is, I just finished [filming]. What I’m really excited about is that there are such incredible female characters in this script, which is a major reason why I wanted to be a part of it. ”
Chastain is known for playing strong female roles and has been passionate on social media about how women are portrayed on film. Though her exact role in the film is unknown, it’s believed to be a villainous one; perhaps, something alien.
“Another major reason,” she signed “is “Simon Kinberg, who’s a friend of mine and a great writer. It was his directorial debut. We met on The Martian and I was excited to be in his film for that, and I think you’ll all be surprised. It’s not a typical comic book film, especially in terms of gender.”
Dark Phoenix flies into theaters on November 2, 2018.

I thought she decided not to do the film. I hope Quicksilver is even in this movie there was no sighn Evan was even there.
Just saw the Avengers Infinity War Trailer. I was speechless. What I want for X-Men DP is the same epicness. There’s NO reason why the X-men shouldn’t be going toe-to-toe with the MCU – or at least making every attempt to. People are already trying to hate on Dark Phoenix before it even comes out. I don’t want Nov 2018 to be like Nov 2017 with Justice League. FOX/Marvel has to get this movie right
