Mackenzie Davis denies her involvement with DEADPOOL sequel.

A couple weeks ago, scooper Jeff Sneider revealed to Meet The Movie Press a rumor that Mackenzie Davis (The Martian) was being look at for the role of Domino in Ryan Reynolds upcoming DEADPOOL SEQUEL. Turns out that isn’t true, according to the actress herself.

“No! [laughs] It’s very interesting,” she told GQ recently. “People keep sending me printouts being like, “This is so cool!” And I’m like, “Right? I also think it’s cool! But it’s not true! I mean. I’d love to keep the ruse going. It’s sort of cool that people think I’m doing Deadpool. But no! I don’t have any news to share. I wish I did!”

Of course it’s still early in the game and the possibility is still open to her being cast, as actors have previously gone on record denying their casting before, when in reality they were lying through their teeth…they’re actors! So we’ll have to wait and see if her not playing Domino is indeed true.

‘Deadpool 2’ is in active development at 20th Century Fox with director Tim Miller, writers Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and star Ryan Reynolds all set to return. As announced in the end credits for the first film, the sequel will see Cable make his first live-action appearance, kicking ass.
