Ryan Reynolds announced the start of production on DEADPOOL 2 with a new photo depicting the “merc with a mouth” chilling in front of Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. In real life, that’s Colwood’s historic Hatley Castle in the British Columbia.
“Dropped by X-Mansion,” Reynolds captioned in one post. “Looked closely for Beast’s lawn bombs before taking well deserved nap.”
Crew filmed at the location’s Royal Roads University for one day; no word if any other actors were involved.
The main spot for filming will be in Vancouver, where the last film’s production took place.
Director David Leitch is helming the picture, with a supporting cast that includes Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Shioli Kutsuna in an unspecified role and Jack Kesy as the villain, possibly Black Tom Cassidy.
